• Nice, brand new street tires to keep your shiny side up!
• Loud Horn for letting others know where you are.
• We will stay with you at the point of rental until you are comfortable driving alone.
• We do not allow leisurely travel on North Roosevelt Blvd, only direct hotel access.
• Please don’t allow kids to play on or around parked scooters
• Please don’t allow small children to stand in the footwell while you drive... sheesh!

Who shouldn’t drive?

• Generally, we don’t like to rent to anyone under age 21, call for experience exceptions.
• Anyone that has no experience with a hand held throttle
• Anyone with major health issues.. think instead, about renting an electric car

Who shouldn’t be on a scooter at all?

• No one who’s feet can’t reach passenger foot peg or footwell. Children don’t belong on scooters.
• Ladies who are with child... if you are pregnant, don’t even think about riding on a scooter.
• No passenger should be larger in size than the driver... that’s a recipe for disaster.
• Anyone with major health issues.. think instead, about renting an electric car

UNDERSTAND THIS: Driving a scooter is an inherently dangerous activity and Key West traffic can be quite congested and distracting at times.

We recommend only driving a scooter on our island if you have some kind of experience with a hand operated throttle and brakes... at least a wave runner, jet ski, snowmobile, three-wheeler or quad... preferably a motorcycle or scooter.

Physically uncoordinated or individuals in poor physical condition or individuals that are inexperienced with driving at least one of the above mentioned vehicles will be discouraged from renting scooters.

We absolutely will not rent scooters to anyone that has a major medical condition or that is pregnant.

We will not rent scooters to anyone under the age of 21 unless they can prove or demonstrate that they have experience driving two wheeled vehicles and they must be accompanied while riding at all times by someone that is at least 21 years of age that is experienced. 

We do not permit travel on North Roosevelt Boulevard as it is dangerous for scooters. If you are staying in a hotel on N Roosevelt, travel is of course permitted to get to the closest side street.

And last but not least... hot-dogging or off-road travel on one of our rental scooters is not permitted.
