Dear PalmOne,

Please go back to the memory system that you had in the Treo 600... and while you’re at it, have some respect for your loyal customers and 3rd party software developers by putting in 256k of it... we will gladly & gratefully pay the difference in price!

Thank You!

Dear PalmOne,

Yesterday you announced a big Treo giveaway, where you gave away 240 Treo 650’s, celebrating a milestone for your company... that your company has, to date, sold 1 million Treo’s... Congratulations!

I’ll assume that means 1 million units combined between the different models you have offered over the past 2 or so years, please correct me if I’m wrong about that. Now if that does represent “combined numbers” it would stand to reason that out of a million, you must have at least 200,000 Treo 650 units, or somewhere around $120,000,000.00 or more in buggy units out there that don’t work with the majority of the Bluetooth headsets, including my Sony Ericsson HBH-300. Have you sold enough of your “RE-BRANDED” Treo BT headsets yet?... Are you going to finally release up-to-date profiles so that we may now finally use our existing headsets, like every other $100 BT phone on the market does? Since you just gave away 240 units, (at $150 cost/unit this would equal $36,000)... does this mean we may assume, based on your benevolence, that you may also be celebrating by matching those funds and dedicating them to software development to fix this potentially great piece of equipment or will it be business as usual when the fanfare subsides?

Personally, I would be happy as a clam with a Bluetooth enabled Treo 600. As it stands now, I am sick of using a Jabra A210 Bluetooth adapter with my Treo 650 that is supposed to be a Bluetooth enabled ‘smart’ phone.

Please get back to us soon.

Thank you.

Dear PalmOne,

Today I snapped... I’m weary of the hassles that come packaged with the Treo 650. Today would have been of a day of heavy phone use... a lot of redialing and dialing out of the Call Log included.

I am so sick of dancing around that damned highlighted cancel button (in the Call Log) while trying to drive.. I’m equally annoyed that the “Line is busy. Redial?” message takes a full 30 seconds to appear (rendering it useless)... coupled with the delayed hard key responses, I’m pressing buttons and constantly having to take my eyes off the road... my Bluetooth headset has to be separately activated in addition to the phone and I can’t hear a busy signal on the speaker phone in my quiet SUV. These are all heavily, commonly reported issues and you’ve done nothing about it.

ALL OF THESE THINGS WORKED FINE ON THE T600!

Your lack of support sickens me...

After having been a loyal Palm Platform customer since 1996, I am telling you here and now that I am selling my Treo 650 on ebay this weekend and will never invest in another of your products again... read my lips: “WE ARE DONE!”

My only involvement with your company will be 10 minutes a week, posting the rest of those of your customer’s rantings and ravings about how badly you have fallen on your asses with the Treo 650, right here on this web site’s petition... at least those that were able to find us here.

YOU HAD A GREAT PRODUCT IN THE TREO 600...

YOU HAVE GONE BACKWARDS...

IT HAS BEEN MONTHS NOW...

YOU HAVE MADE IT CRYSTAL CLEAR THAT YOU HAVE NO INTENTION OF FIXING THE TREO 650.

Good Day to you & good luck.

Sincerely,

A former “unwilling” public beta tester.
